Environmental Reality (Doesn’t Care What You Are Comfortable With)

Anyone who bitches about the “over-reaching” EPA, or liberals’ extremist environmental policies are only advertising their ignorance about the environmental facts. If you do proper research on proven data and documented ecological history you quickly realize that the only thing extreme that has been going on is humanity’s historical record of destruction. This isn’t an economic issue, or a political issue. It is a life issue that overrides both. There should be no sides. There is only reality. Even with the increase of environmentally conscious and educated people that have grown substantially over the last few decades, we may already be past the point of no return at our current rate of environmental degradation (in the form of pollution, natural resource extraction, wild lands destruction, and species depletion), even WITH existing laws and regulations. As our population grows, the strain on the environment will only increase, even with our likely greater awareness of the serious, very real issues. In the face of a collapsing healthy planet and dying ecosystems the almighty dollar and the economy have no value. Nor do political pipe dreams and fake leadership giving the naive masses short term feel good passion rather than the truth and sustainable actions. As extreme as this may sound, the only wise course of action is to halt all encroaching development into any remaining wild areas, achieve zero population growth, and replace our insane growth based economy to a sustainable one. We live on a finite planet. Always have, yet our growth has not been in intellectual sync with that fact. If you truly grasp the historical consequences of environmental destruction and population growth these ideas I have presented are not extreme at all. I’m not talking about forcing people to do certain things. I’m not talking about taking anyone’s freedoms away. I’m talking about educating everyone so that there is a conscious awareness of what is real. In knowledge there is voluntary action. Just be wary of who is saying what. Do the research yourself. A strong opinion doesn’t always equate to strong facts. There is no grey area in this. I am not expressing opinion. I am relaying facts. You can either move forward blindly with reckless abandon, clinging onto the archaic hopes of a world that no longer exists, or you can move forward in enlightened consciousness and make decisions based on maintaining the good things we still have and ensuring the same for future generations. Anything less ensures a future world of diminishing returns.
